Ingredients:·
· 1l of Saba (if you cannot find Saba then try substituting molasses diluted with apple juice) · 1kg of Flour · 250g of Almonds, chopped to the desired consistency · 500g Raisins · 400g Sugar · 16g of Baker’s yeast · 4g of Cinnamon · 1 bag of La Saporita spice mix ( or Ground cinnamon, coriander, nutmeg, star anise and cloves to taste) · 50g Margerine or Butter · 2 Eggs · 10g Baking Soda · 30g Crème of Tatar · 1-2tsp of Grated or powdered orange peel (fresh or dry) Preparation: 1. Chop the almonds to a desired consistency and toast them at 150 °c/300°f, until slightly browned. 2. Combine all the ingredients except for the flour/almonds/raisins in a mixing bowl. a. Slowly mix the flour into the other ingredients. b. Add the almonds and raisins to the mixture. 3. Liberally grease the cake tin(s) or spring form(s) and then dust with flour. a. Fill them halfway with your Pane Saba batter. 4. Bake at 180 °c/355°f for about 30 minutes (check to see if it is done by inserting a toothpick into the Pane Saba; if it comes out clean then the Pane Saba is done). |

· 1l di Saba (se non riesci a trovare Saba prova a sostituirla con della melassa diluita con succo di mela). · 1 kg di farina · 250 g di mandorle, tritate per la consistenza desiderata · 500 g di uva passa · 400 g di zucchero · 16 g di lievito di birra · 4g di cannella · 1 Bustina di La Saporita · 50 grammi di margarina o burro · 2 uova · 10 g di bicarbonato di sodio · 30 grammi di Cremore Tartaro · 1-2 cucchiaini di buccia d'arancia grattugiata o in polvere (se disidrattata) Preparazione:1. Tritare le mandorle ad una consistenza desiderata e fatele tostare a 150°c/300°f, fino a doratura. 2. In una terrina unire tutti gli ingredienti eccetto la farina/mandorle/uvetta. a. Lentamente mescolare la farina con gli altri ingredienti. a. Aggiungere le mandorle e l’uvetta alla miscela. 3. Liberamente ingrassare il modulo torta o i moduli e poi spolverarli con la farina. b. Riempire fino alla metà con la pastella del Pane di Saba. 4. Cuocere in forno a 180°c/355°f per circa 30 minuti (è pronto se inserendo uno stuzzicadenti nel Pane di Saba, questo viene fuori pulito). |
